About Adam
Helping you move better, every day
I'm Adam, a physiotherapist based in Street, Somerset. I set up my own practice because too many people were waiting months for treatment they needed now.
I treat conditions ranging from back and neck pain to sports injuries and post-surgery recovery. Every session is focused on you — working out what's going on, treating it, and giving you the exercises and advice to keep the progress going.
I combine hands-on treatment with exercises you can do at home, so there's something to work on between appointments rather than just waiting for the next one.
FAQ
Common Questions
Do I need a GP referral?
No, you can book directly with me. Physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners, which means you don't need to see your GP first. However, if you have been referred by a doctor or consultant, I'm happy to work alongside them.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
I typically offer same-week appointments. When you get in touch, I'll do my best to find a time that works for you as soon as possible. No long NHS waiting lists.
How much does a session cost?
Each session is £50 for up to 60 minutes. This includes your full assessment, hands-on treatment, and a home exercise plan. I accept cash, bank transfer, or card payment.
What conditions do you treat?
I treat a wide range of conditions including back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, knee pain, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, muscle strains, and general joint stiffness. If you're not sure whether physio can help with your problem, just get in touch and I'll let you know.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows me to assess and treat the affected area. For lower limb issues, shorts are ideal. For upper body, a vest top or t-shirt works well.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition, and I won't know until I've seen you. After your initial assessment I'll give you a clearer idea of what to expect, and we'll review it as we go rather than committing you to a fixed course up front.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first session starts with a thorough assessment — I'll ask about your symptoms, medical history, and what you want to achieve. Then I'll carry out a physical examination to understand what's going on. From there, I'll explain what I think is going on, start hands-on treatment, and give you a clear plan including exercises to do at home. The whole session lasts up to 60 minutes. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the area being treated.
Is there parking near the clinic?
Yes, there is free on-street parking on Bowling Green and the surrounding streets. The clinic is also a short walk from Street's main car parks.
Do you take private medical insurance?
Please check directly with your insurer before booking to confirm whether my sessions are covered under your policy. If they are, you will usually need to pay upfront and claim back from your provider — I can supply a receipt with the relevant details on request.
